Offered by the Department of Global Gender and Sexuality Studies, the micro-credential prepares learners to work in a range of organizations that are increasingly involved with issue of gender inequality and globalization. Badge earners are able to identify ways in which gender inequality shapes global patterns of migration, education, economics, politics and development as well as how women have responded to global challenges around climate change, violence, conflict and human rights abuses.

Earning Criteria

Complete (with a B or better) GGS 205: Women in the Global System, plus two additional courses from the list of gender and globalization electives offered by the Department of Global Gender and Sexuality Studies; Submit either 1) a paper or 2) a poster or 3) give a presentation in response to one of two different themes from the GGSs department; Write a policy brief around gender and globalization.
