This 9 credit Quantitative Methods in Finance graduate-level microcredential program includes three (3) courses: AECO 520 Quantitative Methods I, AECO 521 Quantitative Methods II and AECO 567 Quantitative Methods in Finance within the Department of Economics in UAlbany's College of Arts and Sciences. This program provides learners with skills for careers in financial services, investment management and consulting.

This microcredential is self-contained; there is no background knowledge required. It is recommended to start with AECO 520 and AECO 521 to learn the foundation of data analytics and then study AECO 567. You will also gain access to UAlbany’s world-class faculty for developing your knowledge and skill in quantitative methods in Finance

Learners will be proficient in the following: Financial Time Series and their Characteristics, Linear Pricing Models, Term Structure Models, Option Pricing, Asset Volatility and High Frequency Data.
