Political Campaign Management: Core Concepts

This credential focuses on the theory and practice of managing successful political campaigns from leading experts at Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy. This nine-credit, three (3) course microcredential will examine how political campaigns have evolved and consider evidence from empirical research about the efficacy of various campaign strategies. Seasoned practitioners will provide insights into the practical aspects of running a political campaign.

Required Graduate Credit Courses: Two core courses are required: RPOS 588: The Science and Art of Political Campaigns (3 credits) & RPOS 539: Seminar on Campaigns and Elections (3 credits). One elective courses is also required from one of the following: RPAD 560: Public Communication: Making Policy Easy to Understand (3 credits); RPOS 599: Seminar on Political Identity (3 credits);RPOS 509: Political Participation and Public Policy (3 credits)

Current students & learners with an accredited bachelor's degree are welcome to enroll but will be required to submit the non-degree Graduate School application for the department of Political Science. In your Statement of Goals, we recommend describing your interest in the topic of political campaign management and what you hope to achieve by completing the microcredential.
