The Cato College of Education has partnered with UNC Charlotte Continuing Education to offer the Trauma-Invested Teaching Practices and Polices Certificate program to help increase awareness and competence in trauma-responsive instruction, policy, and school culture for teachers, administrators, counselors, social workers, principals, and other support personnel.

Earning Criteria

  • Successful completion of three self-paced, online modules and 30-minute faculty consultation session.
  • Achieving this badge recognizes successful completion of the Trauma-Invested Teaching Practices and Policies Certificate program at UNC Charlotte. With this badge, participants will increase their knowledge about trauma and how trauma impacts students’ academic and developmental success, learn classroom management interventions to support struggling students, explore current policies and procedures and identify the policies and procedures that support/hinder students who have experienced trauma.
