UMMC ASB Interprofessional Education Series 2021-2022 - Session 5
The ASB IPE Series at UMMC is a program of presentations/panels focused on instilling the value of team-based patient care, which requires true collaboration and interprofessionalism among all health care professions, even those not directly involved in patient care, represented on the UMMC campus. Each session focuses on addressing Interprofessional Education Competencies.

Earning Criteria

Earners must attend a panel discussion titled: Incorporating Interprofessional (IP) Instruction into Professional School Curriculums. In this session, an experienced panel will discuss the importance and feasibility of interprofessional education for students in the health professions. Learning objectives include: Identify reasons for incorporating such instruction; Explain ways of successfully implementing such instruction; and Identify metrics to measure success of such instruction.

• Earners must respond to a reflection assignment regarding their experiences with IPE. They will describe the most effective IPE activity they have participated in during their particular program of study. The response should include examples of data/metrics collected for IPE quality measures. Score of 100% is required to earn the credential.
