The purpose of this activity is to enable the learner to apply theory and standards when using simulation as a teaching-learning strategy. Assessment of simulation programs throughout the state of Mississippi found only a small percentage of pre-licensure nursing programs have a formal faculty development plan for simulation education.

Earning Criteria

  • Discussion and responses should be thorough, indicating critical thinking and application of course content. The final project will be submitted by the deadline and meet all INACSL Standards of Best Practice. The project will require the learner to implement a simulation and will be evaluated by their peers. It will include: pre-session assignments, simulation template, evaluation tool, responses, and requirements in video form (prebriefing with students, simulation with students, debriefing)
