Basic Medical Spanish
This hybrid language course is sponsored by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion. Students learn basic medical vocabulary, gain an understanding of the Hispanic culture, apply simple spoken grammar, and effective tools for cross-cultural communication.

Earning Criteria

Students must complete four self-paced, on-line presentations, activities, and short quizzes to build Spanish language foundation.

Students must attend a face-to-face session to complete three additional Spanish lessons, practice pronunciation, interact with other learners, receive feedback, and review the previous modules in preparation for the final test.

A final test requires a minimum score of 80.
