Linux Operating System Essentials and Administration

The course teaches students to perform basic Linux tasks from the command-line then quickly move into system-wide administration tasks. Students will learn to manage local users and groups; manage files and directories; allocate and create storage and file systems; manage system components; use TCP/IP networking to manage local networking components; manage software bundles and packages; understand software dependencies; write simple Bash shell scripts; and install a Linux distribution.
