Earning Criteria

Completed three core courses: Role of the Project Manager, Project Integration and Risk Management or Project Leadership and Communication; and Applied Project Management; as well as three electives. Earned 15 credit units representing 150 contact hours. Met all requirements for a UCSC Silicon Valley Extension Certificate in Project and Program Management.

This certificate prepares students with the skills required to successfully manage a project and to prepare for the PMP®️ or CAPM®️ certification exams. Our courses align with A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge, PMBOK®️ Guide and fulfill PMI®️'s education requirement towards either the CAPM®️ (Certified Associate in Project Management) or PMP®️ (Project Management Professional) exams.
