The earner learned to define, plan and execute projects on time and on budget while meeting performance specifications. By exploring components of project management and the project life cycle, the earner determined the correct methodologies through strategic portfolio analysis. The earner created a project charter, assembled and managed a team, analyzed and controlled risk, monitored milestones, and closed the project. Course aligns with the PMBOK; providing 35 education hours.

The earner demonstrated an understanding of the main tasks related to initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing projects. The earner can develop a project plan, and perform a basic project risk assessment. The earner is able to define the key elements needed to measure and report on project scope, schedule, and cost performance.

As part of a team, the earner worked on a simulated project with detailed project requirements. Throughout the four-day course, the earner progressively built on their understanding of project management by applying lessons learned to a real-world scenario.

The earner completed a detailed project simulation culminating in a team project presentation and submission of project artifacts, which included: a Project Charter/Scope Statement, Stakeholder Register/Analysis, Kick-off Meeting Agenda, Organizational Chart, Work Breakdown Structure, Business Requirements, Project Plan, Communications Plan, Risk Register, Business Case (Cost Benefit Analysis), Issue log, Project Change Control, Project Status Report, and Lessons Learned Statement.
Standards
Earner can submit to PMI 35 training hours to be counted towards contact hours required to sit for PMI Credentials or towards Professional Development Units (PDUs) required to maintain PMI Credentials.
