At Level 2, Technical Specialists are required to have undergone training in Project Management and in their technical specialty, to maintain their professional knowledge and skills. They are also required to have made contributions to the Technical Specialist profession. (Open CTS PD L2)

Earning Criteria

Professional Technical Specialists must have completed formal training in Project Management either through attendance at a taught course or through self-study.

Professional Technical Specialists must maintain their knowledge of the technology trends and techniques in the IT industry, and must undergo 40 hours per year of training, at a taught course or through self study, related to their technical specialty.

Professional Technical Specialists must make contributions to the profession through, for example, publications, teaching, research collaboration, or participation in professional organizations. Mentoring others in their career progression as a Technical Specialist is also required.

This milestone badge is open to all applicants. There is no requirement for any previous badge or certification.
