Associate Members are assessed upon their skills to prove they have a foundational understanding of the subject and are aware of different approaches and schools of thought. Associate Members can apply this in their day-to-day work to carry out well defined tasks that are sometimes non-routine and complex.

Earning Criteria

This individual passed the CBCI exam or holds The Business Continuity Management BCI Diploma.

This individual also evidenced Foundational competency against 5 BCI competencies.

Associate Members are encouraged to complete at least 20 hours of CPD each year to develop expertise and grow professionally. CPD is a mandatory requirement upon application to this grade.
Standards
The BCI competency framework defines the professional standards needed to be an effective business continuity practitioner at every career stage. It helps individuals advance as professionals, employers develop resilience capability through workforce planning and development, and gives society confidence in the resilience profession.
