This micro-credential is open to COPE undergraduate and graduate students only who comply with the established requirements. To earn this micro-credential, students must complete all the requirements. The estimated time to complete is 45 hours over a flexible period. This micro-credential has a cost of $10. Students will design and implement hands-on learning experiences that connect STEM concepts to real-world applications and foster student engagement through inquiry and exploration.

Students will create interdisciplinary STEM lessons using the 5E instructional model, integrate technology effectively, and manage materials and lab equipment while ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Students will develop and facilitate project-based or problem-based learning units that address real-world challenges, incorporate collaborative problem-solving, and assess both the process and outcomes of student-led inquiry.

The microcredential will be delivered through a combination of three online self-paced seminars (may attend synchronously or watch asynchronously after the sessions with prior approval), one face-to-face workshop for hands-on experience, practical teaching experience with K-12 students, Google Classroom for assignments and project development collaboration, and feedback sessions.
