An Introduction to the United States Legal System

Students come away with a basic understanding of the overall US legal system including the Legislative, the Judicial, and the Executive branches of government. Students will understand and be able to apply key concepts inherent in the US constitutional system such as federalism, the separation of powers, and the rule of law and civil society.

Earning Criteria

For 4 weeks, earners complete 3-5 hours of work which includes reading articles, watching videos, and engaging with other participants in lively discussions about the topics.
Earners must complete graded assessments in each module.
Learners must actively engage in graded discussion with the professor and fellow students.
