Certification Criteria

The individual submits a request for Implementation Planning Leader Certification and can articulate the online course quality initiative scope, review and refresh implementation model, participating units, timeline, and intended goals.

The individual is a qualified online education leader responsible with the responsibility and authority to develop and implement a larger-scale online course quality review and refresh implementation initiative at the campus, department or program levels.

The individual is a certified OSCQR Reviewer or Trainer familiar with the OSCQR rubric and process and skilled in online course quality review and refresh activities with online faculty.

The evidence required for this certification includes a signed Online Course Quality Implementation Planning document, that may be adapted from the Implementation Planning Template distributed at the Implementation Planing webinar. And, a reflection on lessons learned in the process of developing the plan and beginning to implement it.

SUNY online learning leaders participate at no cost. Individuals outside the SUNY system complete certification payment, or according to the agreed-upon fee as part of the program-level certification.
