Earners of the Micro-Credential will have demonstrated understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the central nervous system, and the molecular and biochemical basis of neurotransmitter signaling across brain regions. Further, they will have a specialized knowledge of neuropharmacology, affinity, efficacy, tolerance, along with instrumental medication drug treatment and recreational drug use and abuse, and an understanding of the biological basis of psychological and psychiatric disorders.

Earning Criteria

Earners must complete PY 3610, Brain and Behavior, with a grade of B or better.

Earners must complete PY 3620, Drugs and Behavior, with a grade of B or better.

Earners must complete PY 4402, Neuropsychopharmacology, with a grade of B or better.

Earners must complete PY 4610, Clinical Neuropsychology, with a grade of B or better.

In addition to the courses required for the Micro-Credential, earners will have taken PY 2010, Introduction to Psychology, and PY 3010, Research, Design, and Analysis-I to satisfy the prerequisite requirements for the required courses.
