Foundations of Cognitive Neuropsychology

Earners of the Micro-Credential will have demonstrated an understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the central nervous system and the molecular and biochemical basis of cognitive higher-order cortical information processing. Additionally, they will have a specialized focus on the cognitive processing of neuropsychiatric and developmental disorders, brain injuries, and age-related changes in cognition. They will also understand neuropsychological testing.

Earning Criteria

Earners must complete PY 3410, Cognitive Psychology, with a grade of B or better.

Earners must complete PY 4401, Developmental Neuropathology, with a grade of B or better.

Earners must complete PY 4403, Cognitive Neuroscience, with a grade of B or better.

Earners must complete PY 4610, Clinical Neuropsychology, with a grade of B or better.

In addition to the courses required for the Micro-Credential, earners will have taken PY 2010, Introduction to Psychology, and PY 3010, Research, Design, and Analysis-I to satisfy the prerequisite requirements for the required courses.
