Foundations in Applied Behavior Change

Earners will have demonstrated foundational knowledge of behavioral learning principles, methodologies, and procedures, and how they may be applied to address problematic behaviors and effect adaptive behavior change. They will thus have the foundations for careers in fields such as behavior therapy, counseling, mental health counseling, clinical psychology, social work, behavioral health, sports psychology, special education, applied behavior analysis, and basic or applied behavioral research.

Earning Criteria

Earners will have completed PY 3420, Learning and Motivation, with a grade of B or better.

Earners will have completed PY 4330, Behavior Modification, with a grade of B or better.

Earners will have completed PY 4401, Developmental Neuropathology, with a grade of B or better.

In addition to the courses required for the Microcredential, earners will have taken PY 2010, Introduction to Psychology, and PY 3010, Research, Design, and Analysis to satisfy the prerequisite requirements of the required courses.
