Earners of the Micro-Credential will have demonstrated advanced skills for creating high production value television programs and videos. Earners employ sophisticated documentary and TV production and post-production techniques to create professional level TV/Video projects and create demo reels/web portfolios highlighting skills and creative work. Students successfully completing the requirements of the Micro- Credential will leave with an online portfolio showcasing short video or TV segments.

Earning Criteria

Earners must complete one of three courses: AS 4965, Video In Action; AS 4935, TV In Action; or AS 9000 Senior Media Fellow, with a grade of B or better.

Earners must complete AS 5725, Senior Media Portfolio, with a grade of B or better.

In addition to the courses required for the Micro-Credential, earners will have taken AS2802, Multimedia Journalism; plus AS 3247, Introduction to Video and TV, and AS 4852, Advanced Video: Documentary; or AS 4870, Advanced TV: Studio Production, to satisfy the prerequisite requirements of the required courses.
