Challenge and Stretch for all Learners

Issued by St Luke's Catholic College

Staff participation in a 10 hour course on stretch and challenge of all learners within the classroom. This two day face to face course engages teachers in how to challenge and stretch all learners. Options are presented throughout the two days to model workshopping within the classroom and to engage different needs of teachers. All options are around differentiation of students.

Earning Criteria

1.1.2 Teachers will explore data that indicates student's capabilities at that age, and design learning through different teaching strategies to engage this level.
1.5.2 Teachers examine and apply a range of strategies to meet the needs of all learners in their classroom
2.1.2 Teachers apply their learning within each workshop to their content knowledge areas in order to develop engaging teaching activities
2.5.2 Teachers examine literacy and numeracy data in order to understand their learners and then design teaching strategies to support a range of learners.
7.4.2 Teachers will engage with a network of practitioners across a K-12 landscape in order to broaden their knowledge in a range of student abilities.
