Introduction to Biochemistry and Cellular/Molecular Biology
Earners have demonstrated knowledge and proficiency of key biochemistry, cellular biology, and molecular biology principles. Through a combination of online modules, synchronous and asynchronous lab training, and hands-on laboratory training, subjects such as dialysis, hemocytometer cell counts, enzyme assays, ELISA, gel electrophoresis, and other critical industry skills are covered. Competency is assessed via a combination of written examinations and hands-on demonstration of the skills.

Earning Criteria
-
Learners are trained using industry-standard methods and experiments to gain familiarity and competence with key techniques, instruments and equipment. The course leverages remote learning innovations including synchronous and asynchronous laboratory training with faculty and graduate assistants. Upon completion of the online modules, learners are trained and assessed on key industry competencies through facilitated, hands-on learning both at home and in a traditional laboratory setting.
-
Learners are assessed via a lab practical exam that evaluates the learners' competency on each skill listed above. In order to earn the digital credential, learners must score at least 80% on each skill assessed.
