Earning Criteria

• Explain and apply core event team roles and production responsibilities. Demonstrate appropriate conduct, communication, and understanding of event team duties through planning activities.
• Implement basic lighting techniques for small live or recorded events. Use fundamental lighting tools, positions, and safe rigging practices to support simple video and event scenarios.
• Use foundational audio tools to record, edit, and mix short audio content. Set levels, use basic compression/EQ/effects, perform simple edits, and export audio to spec for a podcast-style assignment.
• Prepare and execute basic audio workflows for simple live-event style tasks. Configure simple audio interfaces, mixers, and connections; add effects; and produce a basic audio+video synchronization task.
• Apply photography and video fundamentals in capturing media. Frame shorts, manage exposure, apply white balance, use slates, handle files, and plan a short video capture.
• Record, edit and deliver short-format video content to specification. Capture stable, well-lit video; synchronize dual-system audio; edit using cuts/dissolves; add titles; and export to required formats.
