Earning Criteria

Explain and apply core event team roles and production responsibilities. Demonstrate appropriate conduct, communication, and understanding of event team duties through planning activities.

Implement basic lighting techniques for small live or recorded events. Use fundamental lighting tools, positions, and safe rigging practices to support simple video and event scenarios.

Use foundational audio tools to record, edit, and mix short audio content. Set levels, use basic compression/EQ/effects, perform simple edits, and export audio to spec for a podcast-style assignment.

Prepare and execute basic audio workflows for simple live-event style tasks. Configure simple audio interfaces, mixers, and connections; add effects; and produce a basic audio+video synchronization task.

Apply photography and video fundamentals in capturing media. Frame shorts, manage exposure, apply white balance, use slates, handle files, and plan a short video capture.

Record, edit and deliver short-format video content to specification. Capture stable, well-lit video; synchronize dual-system audio; edit using cuts/dissolves; add titles; and export to required formats.
