This CDL hazmat test course is designed for commercial motor vehicle drivers seeking a hazardous materials (H) endorsement to their Commercial Driver's License (CDL). The hazmat endorsement is required to become a hazmat driver so that you can haul certain types of specialized freight and open new career opportunities as a driver. If you seek an endorsement such as this, you must complete this curriculum to take the state-administered knowledge test for the H endorsement.
Standards
The hazmat theory course must be completed to take the state Hazmat Endorsement Knowledge Exam, which is usually administered at the state motor vehicle office.
