Radiology Informatics Certification Program
The departments of Biomedical Informatics and Radiology have launched the Radiology Informatics Certification program for radiology resident trainees at Stony Brook University. The program is designed to provide the trainees with a comprehensive foundation in a variety of skills at the intersection of radiology informatics and clinical healthcare.

The curriculum comprises topics including but not limited to PACS and RIS systems, algorithms and pipelines for imaging and clinical Informatics, hardware and software requirements, business of informatics, teleradiology, machine learning, etc. A core component of the certification program would involve mandatory participation in a radiology informatics research project under the mentorship of supervising faculty members.
