Graduates of the BSc Hons in Mathematical Statistics at the UP are trained to identify, formulate, and solve scientific and industry problems using appropriate qualitative and quantitative tools. Graduates can understand and apply concepts of modern statistical learning and data science techniques including linear and non-linear modelling, supervised, unsupervised learning, and mixture modelling. Graduates are also trained to use an array of SAS procedures including coding from first principles.
