Earning Criteria

• Perform as a member of the Sacred Heart University Marching Band, Winter Guard/Twirler. Complete appropriate lessons on primary instrument, or Movement for Musicians modules.
• Completion of 3 different modules covering general skills, specialized skills for different ensembles, and using judging to improve performance outcomes.
• Tech for SHU Marching Arts ensemble as assigned. Develop and implement a rehearsal plan for sectionals and full ensemble.
• Obtain positive evaluations from student peers and staff/faculty members
• Demonstration of knowledge to set and clean drill, correct individual and ensemble musical elements, and refine basic marching techniques
• Create a digital capstone project including documentation and self-evaluations of their learning journey and challenges. Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, including punctuality, commitment, and a positive attitude in all program-related activities.
