The Center for Public Health Workforce Development General Industry Safety and Health Specialist Certificate focuses on OSHA policies, procedures and standards, as well as safety and health principles. Special emphasis is placed on those areas that are the most hazardous, using OSHA standards as a guide. To complete the Certificate Program, students must attend all five required courses, and four of the elective courses (two from each series of electives).
