Earner demonstrated proficiency in addressing behavioral health challenges in adolescents and transition-age youth (TAY). The Rutgers University Behavioral Youth (RUBY) Collaborative is a grant funded interprofessional Behavioral Health Workforce Education and Training (BHWET) Program from the Health Resources Service Administration (HRSA).

Earning Criteria

  • Required attendance at a specialized year-long training series focused on TAY, and participation in a 2-semester internship in a community-based TAY program supplementing professional clinical graduate education.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in TAY-related behavioral health topics. Students attended a year-long educational series and had to pass quizzes on each topic as the progress through the year.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in clinical skill development at a community setting working with TAY. Students had to complete internships over two semesters under direct supervision of a licensed professional to demonstrate acquisition and application of appropriate clinical tools and interventions when working with TAY.
