Students will learn how to employ statistical analysis to model, predict, and forecast trends with tools such as regression analysis and linear models. Students will be introduced to advanced data analytics topics and tools such as Tableau, R, Machine Learning and Big Data.

Create a dashboard, story, or report with Tableau showcasing aggregate data from a public dataset, including a static map with data plotted overlaid on top or a dynamic map showing changes over time, and two unexpected phenomena in the data provided.
Demonstrate ability to research and implement appropriate machine learning models.
Demonstrate appropriate selection of activation functions or deep-learning framework.
Demonstrate effective vectorization of text for text analysis.
Demonstrate effective implementation of Spark or Hadoop in a project.
Create an analysis and plot using R instead of Python.
Justify low R2 values from a model and next steps to improve.
