Earning Criteria

Candidates for the Resilience-Building Leadership Professional Trainer certification must be currently serving (or have served) as a senior manager. RBLP Trainer candidates typically have 10+ years of relevant experience working as part of a team in a particular occupation or industry.

Candidates for RBLP Trainer certification must complete: 10 hours of personal reflection on leader/follower experience, 5 hours of instructor-led, exam prep training (oral exam rehearsal), and pass the 2.5-hour oral exam.

The 2.5-hour RBLP Trainer certification exam assesses the knowledge and skills required to create a positive climate, develop cohesion, provide purpose, facilitate team learning, and support organizational learning. The American Council on Education (ACE) recommends three (3) semester hours of credit at the upper-division baccalaureate level in Applied Leadership for the RBLP Trainer certification exam.

Recertification is required every three years to maintain the RBLP-T level of certification. People who earn and maintain the RBLP Trainer certification may add the RBLP-T designation after their name and describe themselves as RBLP Trainer certified.

Task 1: Analyze team learning capacity. Task 2: Set collective goals for teams. Task 3: Encourage constructive dialogue. Task 4: Build new mental models.
Task 1: Analyze organizational learning capacity. Task 2: Promote a shared vision. Task 3: Foster knowledge creation. Task 4: Ensure knowledge sharing.
