Leaners develop an awareness around key mental health issues facing young people today. They are able to recognise the impact that mental illness has on our young people as well as the signs and symptoms of developing mental illness versus witnessing the stages of normal adolescent development. The learner has basic skills and knowledge on how to assist a young person who may need mental health support.
