Earners of the Distinguished Hospital Staff Patient Experience Certification learn and apply evidence-derived patient connection skills. This learning is for all members of staff in a hospital setting and builds on skills learned in the Hospital Staff and Advanced Hospital Staff Patient Experience Certification Programs. It develops six skills: empathy, demonstrating kindness, difficult encounters, patient expectations, recoveries when things go wrong, and team communication.
