Writing Engineering Reports: Understanding Expectations
Issued by
Penn State College of Engineering
For young engineers, a gap exists between the general writing knowledge they have learned in English courses and the specific expectations placed on those engineers when writing professional reports. Drawing from hundreds of surveys and many one-on-one interviews of professional engineers, engineering faculty, and engineering students, this badge addresses that gap. This badge was created and taught by Professor Michael Alley, the author of The Craft of Scientific Writing (Springer 2018).
