Earners of the Practical Measurements badge have developed the skills necessary to calculate precise measurements, using appropriate tools, in an industrial setting. They’ve studied English and metric methods of measuring perimeter, area, dimension, tolerance, volume, temperature, energy, force, power, pressure, and flow. They’ve learned proper selection and use of measuring instruments including micrometers, Vernier calipers, and thermometers. They can identify types of industrial machines.
