The methods of assessment include quizzes, examinations, written papers, and a comprehensive final proctored exam wtih a minimum passing score of 70 percent.

The methods of instruction include practical exercises, discussion, study guide and textbook, and one optional webinar. The general course topics include Focus on the Caregivers; Focus on the Child, Part 1; Focus on the Child, Part 2; and Focus on the Program.
