This certification is a benchmark for all individuals who have extensive expertise to effectively plan, implement, manage, monitor, and maintain an automotive quality management system (AQMS), to audit an automotive quality management system (AQMS), and to manage a team of auditors by applying widely recognized audit principles, procedures and techniques.

Earning Criteria

  • Pass the PECB Certified IATF 16949 Lead Implementer and IATF 16949 Lead Auditor Exams or equivalent
  • Pass 4 Foundation Exams related to the certification field
  • Submit evidence of 15 years of general work experience with a minimum of 10 years of work experience in automotive quality management system as well as 700 hours of AQMS project and auditing experience
  • Abide by the certification rules and policies
  • Adhere to PECB's Code of Ethics

PECB is a Personnel Certification Body, accredited to ISO /IEC 17024:2012 to provide certification of persons by the International Accreditation Service (IAS-PCB-111), United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS-No. 21923), Korean Accreditation Board (KAB-PC-08), and Comité français d'accréditation (COFRAC N° 4-0637).
