Earners of this badge have demonstrated competence as a Learning and Skills Teacher based on the occupational standard published by IFATE. This includes applied knowledge of the principles of designing, planning, and organising curriculum. Skills and behaviours demonstrated include encouraging learners to set challenging goals, as well as being resilient and adaptable when dealing with challenge and change, along with showing a commitment to continuous professional development.

Successfully met the requirements of the Learning and Skills Teacher End-point Assessment delivered by Pearson as the registered EPAO. The End-point assessment consists of an Observation of Practice, and a Professional Discussion underpinned by a portfolio of evidence.

Completed a minimum of 18 months learning and development to meet the knowledge, skills, and behaviours in the Learning and Skills Teacher occupational standard.

Achieved the Level 5 Diploma in Learning and Skills Teacher. Achieved Level 2 English and Maths Qualifications.
