Level 4 Children, Young People and Families Practitioner (Community)
Earners of this badge have demonstrated competence as a Children, Young People and Families (Community) based on the occupational standard published by IFATE. This includes applied knowledge of the range of potential safeguarding risk factors and mandatory requirements, principles of effective assessment and judgement. Skills and behaviours demonstrated include critical evaluation, goal setting, cultural competence, compassion, communication, problem solving, collaboration and teamwork.

Earning Criteria

Successfully met the requirements of the Children, Young People and Families Practitioner End-point Assessment delivered by Pearson as a registered EPAO. The End-point Assessment consists of an Observation of Practice and Competence Interview.

Completed a minimum of 12 months learning and development to meet the knowledge, skills and behaviours in the Children, Young People and Families Practitioner occupational standard.

Achieved Level 4 Certificate in Higher Education in Working with Children Young People and Families and Level 2 Mathematics and English qualifications.
Standards
Children, Young People and Families Practitioner within the community work to manage risk across needs and may work across diverse settings. They play a significant role in working across agencies to improve outcomes, across full age range or specifically with families. They will help CYFP overcome barriers and maximise independance.
