The test taker at this level can identify different styles, genres and registers in written discourse. They can follow a wide range of factual and creative texts and summarise themes and opinions. They can present factual information in an objective way in extended spoken discourse. They can convey information and ideas on abstract and concrete topics and represent contrasting points of view in a coherent, well-structured text.

Earning Criteria

Completion of an English language proficiency test. The test assesses Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking in approximately 30 minutes with a focus on English used in academic and general english contexts. The test is administered online under secure conditions with voice and identity verified throughout the test.
Standards
Based on research from more than 50 countries, The GSE extends the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) by pinpointing on a scale from 10 to 90 what has been mastered for the four skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing.
