PCI Associate Qualified Security Assessor (AQSA)

Qualification as an Assocaite QSA(AQSA) prepares you to support and learn from Qualified Security Assessors (QSAs) as they perform assessments of merchants and service providers who must comply with the PCI Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). Upon successful completion of the training and exam, trainees are able to assist in PCI DSS assessments.

Earning Criteria

Associate QSAs must be employed by an eligible QSA Company. Pre-requisites also include a college or university degree in an IT or security-related field or two years’ experience in IT or security. Once all relevant QSA Requirements have been met an AQSA can transition to the role of a QSA.

Maintain Continuing Professional Education credits as documented in the PCI SSC CPE Maintenance Guide as well as complete annual training and examination on the PCI Data Security Standards (PCI DSS)
