Introduction to Statistics (STAT 0202)

The course teaches foundational descriptive and inferential statistical procedures. Topics include but are not limited to descriptive statistics; probability; discrete and continuous random variables; the normal distribution; the central limit theorem; confidence intervals; correlation; f-distribution; and one-way ANOVA. Students will be introduced to statistical tools including Desmos and R. Note: University of Pittsburgh also grants this course for 3 credits; course number: STAT 0202).
