Quantitative Polymerase Chain Reaction
After learning the basic principles of Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) in BIO 2125 – Microbiology or BIO 2234 Human Physiology, students will participate in a workshop that will reinforce those principles, along with introducing concepts related to real-time quantitative PCR (qPCR). Students will practice micro-pipetting, complete multiple real-time qPCRs, perform gel electrophoresis, and analyze qPCR data and PCR results.
