Primary Reading Instruction
Course includes the early developmental stages of literacy elements, including phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, spelling, fluency, and comprehension. The construction of reading lesson plans, ELL students, student diversity, and a variety of learning styles will be addressed. During the practicum portion of the course, candidates will pre/ and present lessons based upon the pretest results, assess, and reflect on gains in student learning. Role of RTI included; case study required.
