Paramedic Care III

The Paramedic Care III micro-credential covers courses EMS 2054 (Paramedic Care IV, OB and Pediatric Emergencies) and EMS 2064 (Paramedic Care V, Special Populations). The courses include content pertaining to cardiovascular emergencies and special patient populations.

Earning Criteria

EMS 2054, Paramedic Care IV, OB and Pediatric Emergencies: Students are assessed on ability to accurately develop a treatment plan and reassessment of interventions. For the cognitive domain, students will have a comprehensive final exam in which they must obtain a 70% or higher. For the psychomotor domain, students will have three opportunities to successfully pass an instructor check on the following: EKG interpretation, pediatric, geriatric, and pregnant female assessments.
EMS 2064, Paramedic Care V, Special Populations: Students are assessed on their ability to accurately develop a treatment plan based on signs/symptoms and reassessment of interventions. For the cognitive domain, students will have a comprehensive final exam in which they must obtain a 70% or higher; for psychomotor domain, students will have three opportunities to successfully pass an instructor check on the following: EKG interpretation, pediatric, geriatric, and pregnant female assessments.
