Managing Human Resources
Earners of the Managing HR certification will demonstrate competency in analyzing and designing job descriptions, recruiting and selecting new employees, implementing workforce planning requirements, organizing employee training and development initiatives, documenting and evaluating employee performance management, developing a competitive compensation strategy, minimizing human capital risks, and creating and implementing an employee relations strategy in compliance with federal/local laws.

Earning Criteria

Achieve a grade of C or higher in MGMT 3513: Human Resource Management.

Earners will recommend HRM strategies to maximize human capital within different business industries and environments.

Earners will evaluate how employment law and judicial rulings (governance) apply to different HR practices.

Earners will develop and evaluate organizational talent acquisition and employee engagement plans.

Earners will analyze and design training development programs to meet organizational objectives.

Earners will identify the impact of employee and union relationships on different HR practices.
