This microcredential introduces the student to the entire realm of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), ground operations, and the support systems needed to remotely pilot the vehicle. The micro-credential will develop the student's knowledge and skills needed to manage and operate small remotely piloted aircraft and successfully pass the FAA Part 107 written exam.

Earning Criteria

  • Successfully complete Drone workshop which prepares students aged 16 and older to get their Part 107 license.
  • The workshop will cover applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and operational aspects such as drone maintenance, drone registration, remote identification requirements, operating over open-air assemblies, and operations beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS).
  • This credential is designed around the core skills needed to manage and operate small remotely piloted aircraft and successfully pass the FAA Part 107 written exam. The course will cover applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and operational aspects such as drone maintenance, drone registration, remote identification requirements, operating over open-air assemblies, and operations beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS).
