Computer Applications
This microcredential is designed to provide students with fundamental computer skills. Instruction in the use of microcomputers operating systems and application packages (word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database in a Windows environment) will be emphasized. Students will receive an introduction to data communications, basic computer hardware, local area networks, Internet, and library utilization.

Successful completion of CIS 1113 Computer Applications; course covers computer processing and storage, information transmission and security, Windows 10 operating system, web browsing, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Learners will complete a capstone project in Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, demonstrating what they learned in the course.
