Computer Applications
This micro-credential is designed to provide students with fundamental computer skills. Instruction in the use of microcomputers operating systems and application packages (word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database in a Windows environment) will be emphasized. Students will receive an introduction to data communications, basic computer hardware, local area networks, Internet, and library utilization.

Successful completion of CIS 1113 Computer Applications; course covers computer processing and storage, information transmission and security, Windows 10 operating system, web browsing, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Learners will complete a capstone project in Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, demonstrating what they learned in the course.
