Earning Criteria

Successful completion of ENGL 2143 Introduction to Grant Proposal Development with a minimum grade of D or higher. Earners learn fundamentals of writing grant proposals for nonprofit and tax -exempt organizations or for other purposes. Students will examine effective grants and demonstrate understanding of all essential aspects of grant writing including the proposal narrative and budget and also practice developing grants that answer private, state and federal Requests for Proposals (RFPs).

Successful completion of HUM 2163 Leadership Development with a minimum grade of D or higher; learners will understand leadership qualities and skills in selected readings from classical literature, portrayed in selected films and discussed in contemporary leadership theory. Learners will develop a fundamental understanding of leadership and the skills manifest in effective leaders. Participation in course discussions and activities enables the learner to develop personal leadership abilities
