Earning Criteria

JB 1103 Audio Production and Podcasting - this course emphasizes Podcasting, including its development, production, and distribution, an inquiry into theory field and studio production, and develops radio and digital imaging, interviewing, narration and production and direction skills; includes extensive laboratory experience, field recording and project development. Student must successfully complete course with a minimum grade of “D” or higher.

JB 2643 Digital Video Production - students will utilize digital visual production and post-production principles and techniques in multiple video formats to produce a diversity of industry-standard digital media. Students will incorporate the skills of writing, recording and editing to encompass all phases of the production process. Student must successfully complete course with a minimum grade of “D” or higher.

JB 1133 Media Writing - the student will become familiar with and proficient in the use of various news gathering and news writing techniques common to both the print media and the broadcast media. The student will demonstrate mastery by writing acceptable news stories, features, human interest stories and interpretive reports. Typing skills are required. Student must successfully complete course with a minimum grade of “D” or higher.
