CAD and Fabrication Technology for Instructors

This professional development micro-credential will prepare K-12 faculty to help facilitate technology education; including incorporating CAD and 2D/3D fabrication concepts. Earners will gain working knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD software and the fundamental use of CNC machines; laser cutters; and 3D printers.
Earning Criteria

Participants will attend a hands-on workshop where they will be introduced to topics and skills needed to help students in a K-12 setting. In addition, participants will use 2D & 3D design software, CNC and Laser software, and hands-on use of the equipment. ; Complete a project using 3D parametric modeling program ; Complete a project using a 2D vector graphics program ; Complete a project using CAM software
